Riemann P20 Sun Protection
« on: April 28, 2018, 07:39:58 PM »
My wife and I have used this sun protection for 10+ years, and I won't use any other for serious sunbathing!  :;:  :;:;
On a trip to Lanzarote in March, we noticed that it was readily available there in the supermarkets; it hasn't been in past years.
Now it's getting warmer, can some of you kind folk that are in VP or it's surrounds please tell me if it is now on sale in either the Consum or the Mucky Donna, please? Or elsewhere for that matter, and give me an indication of price?
Thanks in anticipation.

As the owner of an apartment in Vera Playa, we'd prefer it if guests didn't use P20 sun cream as it stains white sheets. Please use an alternative.

Have look at the link below:

or just google 'P20 stains white sheets'.

We discovered this many years ago when in Fuerteventura. Since then we have both taken great pains to scrub off the P20 every evening.
No sheets get stained following this practice, I am pleased to say.

Riemann have now updated their page on staining. They recommend http://www.desolvit.co.uk/product/de%E2%80%90solv%E2%80%90it-universal-stain-remover-pre-wash/
This is the page for the recommended De-solvit product.

You can stay..... ;)

Alternatively, try Parasol 20 - a non staining version of P20:

But can anyone answer the original question?

My wife and I take P20 (or Ultrasun, which we prefer) with us from the UK.  It's possible to bulk-buy it here at more sensible prices.  I haven't seen it in supermarkets in VP.  I've just come back from Fuerteventura, and it wasn't in the Mercadona shops there, but was available in the "perfume shops".

If you shower properly every evening, there's no problem with staining sheets.

P20 is not available in Consum or Mercadona.

Thank you for that.
We're coming out by car this time, so no difficulty with stocking up; just the cost!

I've just stocked up on Ultrasun once-a-day SPF20.  400ml for £27.49 from ChemistDirect.co.uk via eBay.  Good price.
