Vera playa map
« on: 05 February 2012, 13:09:16 PM »
Hi,
Is there any chance of the vera playa map being updated although we have only been once and are coming again in June I see some of the places on the map are outdated such as the Wok above Consum and maybe some of the bars have changed names etc.

Thanks in advance for any replies
Steve

Before the season starts we shall do a wonder-around-type-thing and note changes that have occurred, whose open, whose gone and who has changed name or moved around... a nasty job...but someone will have to face the task... we can then ask Phil to update his excellent map...

It's a bit difficult at the moment, it's right in the middle of the 'closed season' - several of the bars that currently look abandoned will re-open 'under new management' at Easter.  There are signs of life at the old Lenos Y Carbon for instance.  In the meanwhile,  Carmen's, Frankie's,  Blue Parrot,  Mayo 2004, Paso Doble and Vera Natural Chiringuito are all open for the winter crowd, which is pretty good going.
Happy owners and winter residents at Vera Playa, our piece of Naturist Paradise.

When we were out (in the frost!!!!) in February, I think we had either a drink or a meal in all of them. El Balconcito was also open, and Leno's & Carbon was in the midst of some serious internal reconstruction. We were pleasantly surprised to find Consum was operating to 915am-915pm opening hours too.

For that all important 'should we get and crack open a second bottle of wine?' moment in the day, you understand.  :D

It was good to pop our coats on, toddle over to Consum and pick up another bottle (and some nibbles to accompany it) at 830pm.

As soon as somebody (anybody) gives me some updates, I will produce an updated map without delay.
Unfortunately I'm not there this year so I'm relying on anything I am given.
We aim to please !

The latest version (18th August 2012) of the map was emailed to Alan today.

The only alterations being "Wok Chinese" (previously above Consum) has been deleted and all the known Wi-Fi hot spots around the naturist area have been added. Anybody is free to PM me if you know of any others.
Simularly so with any other places of interest which may be within the boundaries of the existing maps of either Vera Playa or Puerto del Ray.
